VALERIANE LOUISY LOUIS JOSEPH 

Guest Artist Dancer

 

Valériane Louisy Louis Joseph, a first-generation artist hailing from Martinique, was raised in Paris, France. She graduated from The Ailey School in 2018, showcasing her talents in works by choreographers such as Darrell Moultrie, Ephrat Asherie, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Amy Hall, Earl Mosley, and Chester Whitmore, among others.

 

Valériane furthered her career as a dance ensemble member in the Broadway production of The Lion King in Paris. Notable performances include her role in the play "MALVOLIO" with the Classical Theatre of Harlem, a lead position in "Dreams of Dracula" with Nevermore Immersive, and a performance in a work by Christopher Huggins with Opus Dance Theatre.

 

Currently, she is in the National Tour of "The Lion King". Her recent endeavors include appearing in singer-songwriter Omah Lay’s "SOSO" music video and performing in singer-songwriter Asake's sold-out concert at Barclays Center, choreographed by Izzy Odigie and also danced with Creative Outlet and RudduR Dance.

 

A former member of Ronald K. Brown's EVIDENCE Dance Company, Valériane now joins the company as a guest for their Joyce Theater season.
